Give Testimonials, Get Free Links
One way to ask others to link to your website is to provide them with a testimonial.
When you provide a testimonial to a business, include a link to your business ... just one, present yourself professionally, don't spam.
Who else can you provide a testimonial to? Any business you have purchased from! For starters, does your web design company
link to you? If not, ask! Ask everyone you buy from to link to your business. Go through your account payables log for the last year and list out each company you
have purchased from. With that list, identify all companies with a website and then email your contact asking them to include your testimonial on their website.
Most businesses will be happy to hear praise, and will also be happy to link to a customer's website when it is included in a testimonial statement.
