About Your Username
Digg users have a lot of friends. Friends lists are displayed in alpha numeric order, so register with a name starting with A or 1 to be listed towards the top.
Create a simple, short and memorable username. You will reinforce the type of stories you submit by selecting a username that is related to your interests.
Promoting Yourself
Create an icon that draws attention. Icons are displayed within the comments. Strong and disticnt icons tend to help other members recognize you.
Make comments frequently. Its a social network, so don't be shy. When commenting, make sure you stay on topic and provide intelligent contributions that add value.
These comments reinforce others relationship with you, so be respectful and make sure you are friendly and open to others.
Submitting Stories
When submitting a new story you should log in and navigate to the most specific category then click the submit
link from there. You will then be prompted to enter the title, link to the story and description. This information will be displayed
for the listing. After submitting, your story is immediately listed in the upcoming stories section of the category you selected. Stories are
sorted based on time and number of Diggs. New stories remain in the upcoming stories section for the first 24 hours
and is promoted to the front page of the section or Digg based on its popularity. Stories that are popular remain and are promoted
while those that are not popular are buried by being removed from the upcoming stories section.
The top level of exposure is a story which is promoted to the home page of Digg where listings are
viewed by thousands of visitors.

Your title is most important. It is what most will read. It needs to sum it all up. Don't be cute and confusing, but clear and interesting.
Your description should provide as much info as possible while being motivating so others will click to view the story.
Take some time and think it thru. Be creative and entice others to be interested. Use keywords related to your topic so those
using the Digg search will be more likely to find your story. Always use proper grammar and the spell check provided.

In addition to the above networking within the Digg site, you may also integrate Digg within your stories or blog postings
so the visitors who view it may also
Digg it directly from your site. You can also show Digg on your site and download a variety of images from their website tools.

After you have submitted a story and others digg it, you may then select the various tabs for "Who dugg or blogged this" and "Comments"
to view other members who were interested in the story. You can view their profile and then click "Add Friend" to save them to your list.
When you rollover the number of diggs, it will show friends who have dugg the story if applicable. Networking with others and having friends
digg your story influences popularity. Before posting a story take some time and search the Digg Network to see other topics (and their
popularity) already related to your story idea.
